Child Care Health Consultation (CCHC)The Child Care Health Consultation (CCHC) Program is a collaborative effort between the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) Office of Childhood and Local Public Health Agencies (LPHAs).
The program promotes the health, safety, and overall well-being of children in child care and early education settings throughout Missouri. Child Care Health Consultants work alongside child care providers to identify health and safety needs, provide education and resources, and help create environments where children can learn, grow, and thrive.

What Does the CCHC Program Offer?
Health & Safety Consultations
CCHCs provide individualized assistance to child care providers in addressing health and safety concerns within their facilities. Consultants offer practical recommendations and resources to help create safe, healthy, and nurturing environments for children.
Training Opportunities
CCHCs provide health-related training opportunities for child care providers that may count toward required annual training hours. Training topics are designed to increase provider knowledge and confidence in promoting children's health and safety.
Health Promotion Activities
Age-appropriate health promotion activities and presentations help children learn healthy habits related to nutrition, physical activity, oral health, personal safety, and overall well-being. Activities may also provide opportunities for families to participate.
